About US Wildfire Map
US Wildfire Map renders live US wildfire, smoke, and air-quality data from primary government feeds — NIFC WFIGS, NASA FIRMS, NOAA HMS, and EPA AirNow — with honest, per-datum provenance.
Those feeds power a live national wildfire map and a satellite wildfire smoke map. They also drive an air quality map and an annual US wildfire statistics record — every figure stamped with its own source and “as of” time.

Provenance
Every figure traces to a verified primary source. Missing data is disclosed, never invented; computed values are labeled; satellite detections are labeled as heat detections, not confirmed fires; smoke is atmospheric-column analysis, not a ground reading. See data sources & methodology.
